Aleshire vs. Brown: Ease up

A couple of Saturdays ago a group of like-minded citizens spent a hot day helping to build a children's playground behind City Hall. Two of the volunteers were Steve Brown and Bill Aleshire.

Now I read duelling letters from each of them accusing each other of numerous civic deficiencies. It seems to me, from their actions, that both are civic-minded citizens and both want the best for our great community.

What we have is a longtime resident (Bill Aleshire), who helped make this great community, at odds with a man (Steve Brown) who wants what is best for Peachtree City, but does not know how we got to be so great in the first place.

Ease up gentlemen. We can accomplish a lot more with cooperation than with confrontation.
