The Peachtree City Youth Soccer Association will offer registration for fall Saturday, July 7 from 9 a.m.-noon. Registration will take place in the downstairs meeting room of the Peachtree City Library. Call Meg Pearce at 770-632-7263 or visit www.ptcysa.org.

The Fayette County Youth Soccer League will have registration on Saturdays, July 7, 14, and 21 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the McCurry Park North Soccer Complex. All new players need to bring their birth certificate to register. Phone 770-460-7811 or visit www.fcysl.org for information.

Registration for Peachtree City girls softball will be Saturdays, July 21 and 28 and August 4 at the Braelinn Kroger from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The fee is $75 per player or $150 per family. The softball league is open to girls ages 5-18. Practices begin August 20 and the season starts on Sept. 17. Phone 770-487-0526.

The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville will offer another speed training series Mondays and Thursdays in July at 10:30 a.m., open to ages 7-16. Call 770-460-8785.

Whitewater Country Club will offer a tri-sports camp for juniors ages 8-15 Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon. The second session begins July 11. Campers can choose to come for an entire session or one day. The price for members is $23 for one day and $65 for the entire session, while the price for non members is $28 for one day and $75 for the session. Call 770-461-6313.

Whitewater Country Club will offer junior golf clinics Mondays through Thursdays from 9-11 a.m. The clinics are open to ages 8-15. Fees are $50 for members and $60 for non-members. They will also offer tennis classes Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The fee is $50 for a two-week session for members and $60 for non members. Call 770-461-6313.

The Wendell Coffee Golf Center will offer summer break junior golf camps every week from Monday -Thursday The cost is $175 per week. Call 770-969-4469 for more information or to register.

The Peachtree City Running Club offers the Summer Track Classic Tuesdays through July. Events are open to runners of all ages and abilities and there is no cost to enter. Registration starts at 6 p.m. and events begin at 6:30 p.m. Call 770-460-1425.

Registration for Brooks Bears Football, which is open to players 5 and up, will be offered July 14, 21 and 28 at Brooks Park from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 770-461-2896 or visit www.brooksrec.com.

Chick-fil-A is sponsoring the Chick-fil-A 4-A Side Summer Championships on Friday, July 13 at The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville. This is a one day tournament so capacity is limited. Teams will be accepted in Recreational, Open and High School divisions for both boys and girls. Each team is guaranteed six eight minute games. The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville has set the youth summer camp schedule for 2001. There will be two camps for Muppets - boys and girls ages 4-6. This camp will run July 23-27. The Fayette County Recreation Department will be accepting the names and telephone numbers of any adults who are interested in playing tennis for fun at the Kiwanis Tennis Courts on Redwine Road. For more information call 770-461-9714.

The Higher Ground Softball Camps will be offered at several sites this summer for softball players of all caliber. Camps are available for teams, girls interested fastpitch or slowpitch, resident camps or camps for commuters. Call 770-229-386-9770 for ore information.

The Fairburn Athletic Association will have registration for football at Clarence Duncan Park every Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Registration runs through July 28 for a fee of $100 for football and $35 for cheerleading. Bring a copy of your birth certificate.

Fayette County Middle School will have a volleyball club starting Aug. 20. The club will meet two afternoons a week at the New Hope Baptist Church sports facility and will be led by Joe Cockrell. The cost will be $80 per participant. Call 678-471-1041.

Jim Waller, the new girls basketball coach at Sandy Creek High School, will offer a fundamental basketball camp July 9-13 for girls 8-16. Camp will run from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and will cost $150. Call 770-463-8036.

The Fayette County Summer All-Star Basketball Camp will be offered for two sessions at the Fayette County High School gym for boys and girls who have completed second through ninth grade. The Southeastern Baseball Camps, the oldest baseball camp in Georgia, has announced its line-up for age 13 and up players. Owned and directed by Julian Mock - Cincinnati Reds scouting Director (retired), Harry Lloyd, Westminster School Head Coach, (retired), and John Guthrie, Southeastern Conference Associate Commisioner. Instruction by High School, College and Pro staff and on site team trainer. Camp goals are to evaluate, develop and improve skills for all players desiring to play at the next level. Games are played daily along with emphasis on hitting and individual position play. Two sessions are available. July 15-18 and July 19-22. The Peachtree City Tennis Center's ladies beginner tennis league is having registration for their upcoming season. The league is a great way to meet new players and to learn the game. The season begins August 17. Phone 770-486-9474.
