Valentino's appoints new general manager
Tailwind Development Company Owners, Bob and Karen Stieber, have announced the appointment of Mike Cappella as general manager of their popular Peachtree City Restaurant - Valentino's. For the past five years Cappella has served in upper management positions around the Southeast for Don Pablo's, most recently as assistant general manager of the Peachtree City restaurant. "With the addition of Mike Cappella to our management team at Valentino's we have the ability to grow our restaurant operations," said owner Bob Stieber. "Karen and I intend to expand our Valentino's operations by undertaking additional off-premise catering opportunities, adding special corporate programs and ultimately developing a new full-service theme seafood restaurant in Peachtree City," added Stieber. Prior to relocating in Peachtree City, Cappella lived in Charleston, S.C., but he calls Philadelphia, Pa. his hometown. Mike has previously owned and operated his own restaurant, Micheletti's Italian American Restaurant in Charleston. He is a 15-year U.S. Navy submarine service veteran, serving from 1976 - 1991. "I am excited about joining the Valentino's management team because it affords me the opportunity to use my Italian background to be more creative and have some fun," said Cappella. Tailwind Development Company purchased Valentino's last spring, introducing a new menu featuring authentic Italian fare, fresh seafood, daily specials and homemade "signature" desserts. The restaurant's interior also underwent extensive remodeling. Recently Valentino's expanded its catering services to include special event baskets for evenings at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater, sporting events, corporate meetings and tailgate parties. This spring the restaurant became a gold sponsor of the amphitheater. This Summer, Valentino's is introducing a new "Kids Eat Free" program - Sunday through Thursday - 4 - 7 p.m. Also the restaurant will now be available to local businesses and groups for private breakfast meetings. |
