Pre-Fourth of July celebration at Shannon Mall By MICHAEL

The area around Shannon Mall in Union City will be filled with fun activities during their pre-Fourth of July celebration this Sunday. There will be games, contests, entertainent, food and fireworks. There will be a miniature golf tournament from 3-7 p.m. One lucky family will win a free vacation to Walt Disney World during the tournament. For more games and prizes, head to the food court from 4-6 p.m. Radio Disney will be on hand and will host a lip sync contest with N'Sync tickets going to the winner. Mr. Puppet will perform in the food court from 6:15-7 p.m. Following the puppet show, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will perform in the parking lot from 7:30-9 p.m. The orchestra, conducted by Jere Flint, will perform selections from Rimsky-Korsakov, Holst, Richard Strauss, Johann Strauss and John Williams among others. Following the orchestra's performance will be a fireworks extravaganza. The event is free. People are encouraged to bring their friends, family, folding chairs, blankets and a picnic basket. |
