Points race tightens at Senoia Speedway Gainesville's Randy Bynum captured his second win in as many races at Senoia Speedway in the Pro Late Model Division Saturday night. Bynum is the divisions points leader after securing his lead by winning the previous race. Second place was awarded to Scott Griffin with third place going to Dale George. In fourth was Gay's Troy French with McDonough's John Beach in fifth. Union City's Rod Williford started from his pole position to grasp his fourth win of the season in the Sportsman division at Senoia Speedway Saturday night. Brooks' Andy Cash started fourth and moved up into his second place finishing position with fifteen laps remaining. Finishing third was last week's winner, Bob Yarbrough, from Pine Mountain, GA. Fourth place went to Charles White with Alan Kimball in fifth. Senoia Speedway rescheduled the Street Stock Double Point Special for Saturday, June 16, 2001 which will be the first race of the evening. The usual Street Stock Feature will also take place after the Pro Late Model Race on the same night. Sharpsburg's Matt Peeples made it two for two this week in the Senoia Speedway Bandoleros Feature as he recorded his second win in as many weeks giving him win number 5 for the season. Trey Maughan finished second after passing the third place finisher, Brandon Jackson, with five laps remaining. Ryne Gatlin wound up in fourth with Marisa Prosser awarded fifth. After going door to door with Reed Sorenson for the first three laps of the Senoia Speedway Legends Pro/Mast/SP I feature Doug Stevens took the lead for his first win of the season. Sorenson finished second just a few car lengths back from Stevens with Jason Tidwell in third. Fourth place went to Andy James with Chris Vaughan finishing fifth. Bobby East took the lead for the win from second place finisher Doug Ludwig in lap 17 of the 25 lap Legend CH/SP II feature Saturday night at Senoia Speedway. In third was last week's winner, Cindy Anderson, with Ron Johnson in his back-up car finishing fourth. Grant Enfinger finished fifth rounding out the top five. Fayetteville's Chris "Wiggie" Weigman regained the lead with 10 laps remaining in the Mini Stock Feature Saturday night at Senoia Speedway. The win was Weigman's second win in three weeks after last week's winner, Cary Hamilton, lost power and limped around the track for several laps. Finishing second was LaGrange's Shawn Morman with Mike Chambers moving into third place with six laps remaining. Keith Adams of Jonesboro passed fifth place finisher, Jeremy Miller, with three laps remaining for a fourth place finish. Retired Delta Air Lines Pilot Lloyd Wittenburg grabbed his second win of the season after passing second place finisher, Dale Akridge, mid-way through the feature. Thunder Roadsters return to Senoia Speedway June 16th.
