For the second time in less than a month, an armed robbery has been reported at Fayetteville's Burger King.

This time, two black males entered the store at 11:30 p.m. Friday and demanded money from the store manager, according to a report from the Fayetteville Police Department. One of the suspects had a black semi-automatic handgun, said FPD Lt. Tom Kirkbride.

The suspects left the area with approximately $4,000, the report said. The suspects wore gloves and dark hooded sweatshirts, Kirkbride added.

The matter is still under investigation by the department, Kirkbride said Tuesday morning.

The crime scene was processed for evidence that could link police to the suspects, Kirkbride confirmed.

"We're not going to rule anything out at this point," Kirkbride said.

The previous armed robbery was reported May 16 when a gunman entered the restaurant after 12:30 a.m. and confronted the manager with a handgun. The suspect also got away with the money in that case.

Anyone with information on either of these incidents is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department's Criminal Investigations Unit at 770-461-4441.
