BOYLAN
With double points and double money on the line Pine Mountain's Bob Yarbrough with a 15.153-sec. lap started from the pole and led all 25-laps for his first win of the 2001 season in the Sportsman division at Senoia Speedway. "I lost the transmission in last weeks race and had to work all week long just to make this race", said Yarbrough driver of the 1981 Pontiac Lemans. "I made a drastic change to the set up of what I was using the last few weeks." Finishing in second was Union City's Rod Williford with Brooks' Andy Cash and Mike Jenkins finishing third and fourth respectively. Rounding out the top five finishers of eight starters was Alan Kimball. Locust Grove's Robbie Gober waited until the last lap in the Street Stock Feature at Senoia Speedway to pass Senoia's Mark Lore for his fifth win of the season from his eighth place starting position. Mark Lore led 24 of the 25 lap feature to finish a car length back in second. Third went to Larry Pierce with Stan Barge and Landon DeGraff in fourth and fifth. This Saturday's race will be a Double Points Special for the Street Stock Division at Senoia Speedway. LaGrange's Josh Noles picked up right were he left off back in April as he led from start to finish for his second Parts Pro Truck Series win at Senoia Speedway Saturday night. Finishing a very distant second was David Knight, who also won a race last month at Senoia. Third went to Hal Gibson with Coweta County native "Fast Freddy" Dailey in fourth. Sharpsburg's Matt Peeples led all 15-laps Saturday night for his fourth win of the season in the Bandoleros division at Senoia Speedway. Finishing a very close second at the line was last weeks winner Alan Happel with Adam Gay third. Rounding out the top five was Ryne Gatlin after spinning out at the line with Trey Maughan fifth. Senoia's Scott Tinsley led from start to finish in the Legends/Pro/Mast/SP I division class for his first win of the season. Scott Moseley inherited a second place finish due to Andy James and Bubba Pollard jumping a restart. Andy James, driving Cindy Anderson's winning car, finished third. Fourth place went to Bubba Pollard with Hans Prosser in his backup car finishing fifth. Concord's Cindy Anderson inherited the lead and the win with 3-laps remaining when race leaders Bobby East and Doug Ludwig made heavy contact with each other loosing control in turn two during the Legends CH/SP II feature at Senoia Speedway. Finishing second to Anderson was Ron Johnson, who gave it all he had as he spun-out off turn four on the final lap crossing the finish line backwards. Jimmy Felton held on to finish third as Tony Yawn Jr. and Craig Zoellner finished fourth and fifth after coming from the tail end of the field on lap three. Griffin's Cary Hamilton was awarded the win in the Mini Stock feature at Senoia Speedway after Ty Steward was disqualified in a post race inspection.
