Wild Hearts Show Band becoming local favorites By MICHAEL
BOYLAN
If you know your country music, you know the Wild Hearts Show Band. The group is from Fayetteville and has recently been voted one of Atlanta's top five most popular country bands by the Metro Atlanta Country Music Club. The group has played at the July Jam and arts and crafts festivals in Fayetteville, while also playing some of the top country music night spots in Atlanta. The band has even set new financial and door records for several clubs in south Georgia. Things are definitely looking up for the Wild Hearts Show Band. "Things have really exploded for us this year," said Crystal Swygert, lead vocalist for the band. "We've reached a level in our musical careers where the band is no longer a hobby. It's becoming a full time commitment." The Wild Hearts live show consists of a unique blend of country, Southern rock and blues. Members put on a high-energy, professional show that appeals to audiences both young and old. The band constantly works at improving its sound and performance to please the fans and make each show better than the last. This has helped the Wild Hearts expand the territory they play in and has landed the group several out-of-state gigs. "We're excited and extremely proud of the new records we've helped set," said Swygert. "We've worked very hard to get where we are today. There have been lots of practices and sacrifices. Our goal from the beginning has been to work as hard as we could to become a major force in the Atlanta music scene." That goal has been reached and the band continues to draw new fans, including Moby at Kicks 101.5. The band played at his ninth annual Celebrity Bass Tournament in May.
