Cooper Lighting pitches in more than $14,000 for United Way

The United Way of Metro Atlanta received a special Memorial Day greeting from the Peachtree City plant of Cooper Industries' Cooper Lighting division recently.

The division donated a check for $14,092 to match all the 2000 United Way donations made by local Cooper employees. "For over a decade, Cooper Industries has made United Way its largest single recipient organization by matching our employees' personal contributions. Last year alone, Cooper matched more than $1 million in contributions to the United Way," said Michael Morgan, division manager, who presented United Way with the check.

"Since 1989, over $23 million has been contributed by employees and the Cooper Industries Foundation to United Ways in communities where Cooper employees live and work."

Cooper Lighting manufactures fluorescent, incandescent and HID lighting fixtures for indoor and outdoor use.
