* Registration for Brooks Bears football will take place Saturday, May 26 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Brooks Park. Call Brooks Park at 770-461-2896 or Mike Daughtry at 770-716-1338.

* The Peachtree City Tennis Center will present the 2001 Peach State Junior Tennis Classic, May 26-28. There will also be a qaulifying tournament on May 25, beginning at 8 a.m. Main draw action begins on Saturday, May 26 at 8 a.m. Call 770-486-9474 for more information.

* The Wendell Coffee Golf Center will offer summer break junior golf camps every week from Monday -Thursday beginning May 29. The cost is $175 per week. Call 770-969-4469 for more information or to register.

* The Optimist Club of Peachtree City will host a Junior Golf qualifying tournament Monday, June 4 at Flat Creek Club. There is no entry fee but the entry deadline is May 29. Call George at 770-253-8505.

* The Lady Tiger Basketball Camp will be June 4-8 at Fayette County High School. The camp will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. The fee is $100 before May 23 and $115 after. Applications are available at Fayette County High School or by calling Jenni Defler at 678-817-1578.

* Sandy Creek will hold a volleyball camp May 31-June 2 for a fee of $55. Call Coach James Slayton at 404-667-1224 for more information.

* The McIntosh Volleyball Booster Club will present a volleyball clinic at Booth Middle School on Saturday, June 2 from 12:30-5 p.m. The clinic is for beginners and will emphasize basic skills. * Sandy Creek will have their Basketball Camp 2001, June 11-15. The camp is open to boys and girls in Grades 4-9 and will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. Coach Richard Francis, County Coach of the Year in 1996, 1997 and 2001, will conduct the camp, which will consist of learning fundamental skills, low post development, one on one moves, and 2Ball and free throw contests. the fee for the camp is $125.Call 770-477-1618 for more information or to register.

* Joe Machnik's No. 1 Goalkeeper Camp and No. 1 Striker Camp will be held at the Darlington School from Sunday, June 10 - Friday, June 15 and in Rome, Ga. from Saturday, June 16 - Thursday, June 21. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 10-18. Call 1-800-622-4645 for a free brochure.

* The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville is now accepting registrations for Summer indoor youth soccer. The league is for recreational teams in Under 6-Under 19. The season will consist of seven games with no practices. It will begin June 8 and will end Aug. 3 The registration deadline is May 25. * Chick-fil-A is sponsoring the Chick-fil-A 4-A Side Summer Championships on Friday, July 13 at The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville. This is a one day tournament so capacity is limited. Teams will be accepted in Recreational, Open and High School divisions for both boys and girls. Each team is guaranteed six eight minute games. * The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville has set the youth summer camp schedule for 2001. There will be two camps for Muppets - boys and girls ages 4-6. These camps will be on June 25-29 and July 23-27. There will also be two indoor/outdoor soccer skills camps for players ages from 7-14. These camps will be held on june 18-22 and July 16-20. * The Fayette County Recreation Department will be accepting the names and telephone numbers of any adults who are interested in playing tennis for fun at the Kiwanis Tennis Courts on Redwine Road. For more information call 770-461-9714.

* Registration is now open for Prep All Stars Basketball Camp. This is an exposure camp open to boys ages 11-19. College coaches will be invited to attend. Locations include North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. For more information or a brochure please call 704 232 6034.

* The Higher Ground Softball Camps will be offered at several sites this summer for softball players of all caliber. Camps are available for teams, girls interested fastpitch or slowpitch, resident camps or camps for commuters. Call 770-229-386-9770 for ore information.

* Applications are now being evaluated for the Ten Star All Star Summer Basketball Camp. Boys, ages 8-19 and Girls, ages 10-19, can apply. There are camps located all over the country. Former participants include Tim Duncan, Michael Jordan, Jerry Stackhouse and Antawn Jamison. Players are selected by invitation only and college scholarships are possible for players named to the All-American Team. For an evaluation form, call 704-568-6801.

* The Fayette County Recreation Department will present lifetime sports skill builders at the Kiwanis Center from June 25-29. The camp runs from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at a fee of $90 per camper. The camp is open to children ages 8-13. Registration deadline is June 15. Call 770-461-9714.

* The Fayette County Recreation Department will offer Jumpball Basketball Camp May 29-31 from 9 a.m. - noon at the Kiwanis Center, open to children 6-12 at a fee of $50 per camper. Call 770-461-9714.

* The Fayette County Recreation Department will offer Olympic fencing camp, June 4-8 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. The camp is open to children 7-11 years old at a cost of $55 per camper.

The first Tyrone Founders Day golf tournament will take place Sept. 8 at Whitewater Country Club. The fee is $65 per person or $260 per foursome. Hole sponsorship is also available. Call 770-487-0438 or 770-487-4694.

The Fairburn Athletic Association will have registration for football at Clarence Duncan Park every Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Early registration runs May 19-June 16 for a fee of $75 for football and $30 for cheerleading. Regular registration runs June 23-July 28 for a fee of $100 for football and $35 for cheerleading. Bring a copy of your birth certificate.
