Fly those flags this Memorial Day

As commander-elect of VFW Post 9949 we urge the residents of Peachtree City and Fayette County to display the flag on Memorial Day in memory of all those that served this great country of ours. The veteran may have served in combat or in our military forces anywhere, but pay honor to them for all the wars and time that the men and women gave so that we today live in the manner that we have for once and for all.

In a recent article a German exchange student observed the number of flags displayed and was quite surprised. He is still here so let's really show him a display. It doesn't make any difference the size of the flag but that your home displays and honors a veteran by the flag itself.

We hope the paper will support this effort by the VFW with a front page item in bold letters. Fly your flag this Memorial Day!
