FFBC ladies plan spring dinner

Ladies at Fayetteville First Baptist Church will have their annual Spring Dinner Thursday, May 10, at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The theme is "Children of Promise" and the cost is $5 per person. For more information, call the church at 770-461-8378.

FUMC ladies make plans for fashion show May 10

Ladies of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church UMW will have a meeting and generational fashion show at their "Mothers, Daughters and Friends" dinner on Thursday, May 10 at 6:30 p.m. Cost for the dinner and the show is $6 per person. UMYF at Fayetteville First plans car wash

The United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have a car wash Wednesday, May 30, from 5-7 p.m. in the north annex parking lot. Proceeds will go to missions.

Third Thursday group plans trip to Alpharetta

Those age 55 or older or who are in full time retirement are invited to join the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church's Third Thursday fellowship group for an outing to the Town of Alpharetta Street Festival Thursday, May 17. The group will leave the church parking lot at 9 a.m. and will return at approximately 4 p.m. The trip is free, but reservations are required. Call the church office at 770-461-4313, ext. 17.

Hope House schedules fashion show, luncheon

The third annual Hope House fashion show and luncheon is scheduled for Sunday, May 20, at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel ballroom in college Park. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and lunch begins at 1 p.m. Seating is limited to 400 and tickets are $35 each. Tables are arranged to seat 10. Early reservations are suggested. Fayetteville Christian to present 'Nia' in concert

Contemporary Christian artist "Nia" will appear in concert at the Fayetteville Christian Church on Sunday, May 20, at 6 p.m. Admission is free, but a love offering will be taken. For more information, call the church at 770-461-8763.

FUMC plans churchwide picnic

Members of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have a churchwide picnic on Sunday, May 20, from 4-7 p.m. at the Clayton County Water Authority's J.W. Smith recreation area. Those planning to attend are asked to bring picnic food to share, chairs or blankets and fishing poles. The church will provide drinks and paper products. Activities will include games, a picnic supper and singing.

Inman UMC announces plans for summer VBS

Christian City needs volunteers

Christian City, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing for the needs of children and the aged and infirm, seeks volunteers in a variety of capacities. Volunteers are needed to serve as chaplains, Bible study leaders and church service volunteers; to help with transportation, beauty shop, corner store/ice cream parlor, library, information desk, arts and crafts (craft class leaders, painting classes and others); to lead story telling, nature walks, gardening activities, music and more.
