Fayetteville shoppers will get a new choice in upscale, discount shopping tomorrow when Stein Mart opens its doors for business.

The store is located in the old Belk store in the Banks Crossing Shopping Center.

Shoppers can browse through 43,000 sq.ft. of shopping space and browse a selection of designer and well-known apparel brands for men, women and children.

The store also features a unique Ladies' Boutique for famous names in casual, career and evening wear. In the men's department, the store features a large selection of luxury fiber sport coats, classic khakis and shirts from the designers who made khakis famous, and golf sportswear bearing the names of the guys who win the tournaments.

Other items available include shoes for men and women, more accessories than you'll find in your favorite department store, including fine Italian leather handbags, and so much fabulous fashion jewelry that only the choosing becomes difficult.

From unusual housewares to famous French crystal to the hundreds of photo frames on display, gifts and home decor have long attracted a highly discriminating customer. Egyptian cotton towels and goose down pillows at incredible prices compete with imported cotton placemats and napkins, comforter sets and 250-thread count designer sheets in the linens department.

Store Manager Adam Hatcher said the store is open from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday.

The store has hired 79 employees to help Fayetteville's shoppers and he urges residents to try the Stein mart shopping experience.
