GYB brings "Tales from Mother Goose" to life By MICHAEL
BOYLAN
Little Bo Peep, Jack and Jill, and Little Miss Muffet are names that are familiar to nearly everyone because of the rhymes of Mother Goose. The short rhyming poems are entertaining and sometimes teach a lesson as well. The Georgia Youth Ballet (GYB) will bring the "Tales from Mother Goose" to life this Saturday and Sunday at Our Lady of Mercy High School. Children of all ages will have fun recognizing the 16 stories that will be enacted before them in the GYB's spring recital. There will be mice, sheep, kittens, flowers, stars as well as the spiders that frighten Little Miss Muffet away. "Wearing the spider costume is really fun," said Susanna Shivers of McDonough. I like the way I can stretch my arms up and have lots of arms. It's also fun to pretend to be something scary." "Tales from Mother Goose" will be performed at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the auditorium of Our Lady of Mercy High School. All tickets are $5.
