Fayette announces plans for National Day of Prayer May 3

A county-wide prayer gathering to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the National Day of Prayer is planned for Thursday, May 3, in downtown Fayetteville.

A youth prayer rally will take place from 7-8 a.m. at the fountain on Stonewall Ave. West, with a first-come, first-served breakfast available from 6:30-7 a.m.

A prayer breakfast for local business, civic, elected and spiritual leaders will be held at Grace Evangelical Church on Flat Creek Trail from 8-9:15 a.m. Reservations are requested and may be made by calling 770-487-0791.

A community gathering on the lawn of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church from 6:30-8 p.m. will be a time for the entire county to join together for corporate prayer. Those attending are encouraged to bring picnic dinners and blankets for this mass gathering. Papa John's pizza and Chick-Fil-A will have food available and radio station J93.3 will broadcast the event.
