Good soccer matches for local teams this week

While McIntosh and Starr's Mill's girls soccer teams face some of the top competition in the country, the other local teams face some region oppponents.

The Fayette County Lady Tigers played at East Coweta last night and will host Riverdale Monday, April 16, followed by Stockbridge at 6:30 p.m. April 17 for Senior Night. The Fayette County boys hosted Forest Park last night and will host Eagle's Landing at 7:30 p.m. Friday for their Senior Night.

Sandy Creek's boys hosted their final home game of the season Tuesday night as they played Woodward Academy. The Patriots will begin a three-game road trip this Thursday with a game against Spalding at 5:30 p.m. Their next two games will be at Rockdale County at 7:30 p.m. April 17 and at Salem at 7:30 p.m. April 24.

The Starr's Mill boys team hosted Lovejoy last night at 7:30 and will face the Jonesboro Cardinals Friday, April 13 at 6 p.m. at Tara Stadium.

McIntosh's boys will play at Griffin Friday at 8 p.m., while the girls will play several games in the Adidas Challenge Cup. The Lady Chiefs' final game of the regular season will be at home April 17 at 5:30 p.m. against North Gwinnett.
