Don't look for any local high school baseball players in Panama City this week. For them, there is no such thing as Spring Break. The local teams played several games last week and have several more lined up for today and Friday.

Last Wednesday, all four local teams hosted region games and all four teams lost. Starr's Mill was defeated by Eagle's Landing, 17-2, while Fayette County lost to Evans, 14-2 and Sandy Creek lost to Creekside, 12-3. In their game, McIntosh was edged out by Riverdale, 7-6.

The luck did not change for all but one of the teams on Friday. Starr's Mill lost to Lovejoy, 3-2, Fayette County lost to Stockbridge, 6-5 and McIntosh lost to Eagle's Landing, 5-3. Sandy Creek was the only local winner on Friday, defeating Rockdale County, 11-1. The patriots stretched their winning streak to two games by beating Starr's Mill, 7-4 on Saturday.

There a number of games today and they will all be played this afternoon. Starr's Mill (1-6) hosts North Clayton (1-5) at 1 p.m., while McIntosh (2-5) travels to take on Forest Park (3-5) at 1 p.m. Fayette County (5-5) plays at Eagle's Landing (8-2) at 3 p.m. and Sandy Creek (7-5) plays at Heritage (8-2) at 5:30 p.m.

On Friday, McIntosh will play at North Clayton at 2 p.m., while Starr's Mill will play at East Coweta (8-2) at 4 p.m. Sandy Creek will host Jones County (5-3) at 5:30 p.m. and Fayette County will host Lovejoy (4-5) at 7 p.m.
