Local teams have home games today

Some of the local baseball teams have had a short break, while others got back into action over the weekend. All four local teams have games scheduled for this afternoon, featuring some very good regional matchups.

Fayette County (5-3) will host Evans at 5 p.m. today. The Tigers have had some outstanding pitching efforts this year and are looking for another one today. In their last game, the Tigers lost to Shaw, 9-0. Evans is 4-2 overall and defeated North Augusta, 6-2 last week.

McIntosh (2-3) has been inactive since March 16 when they lost to Griffin, 4-3. The Chiefs will host Riverdale today at 5:30 p.m. The Raiders are 5-2 overall and defeated Mt. Zion, Jonesboro, 8-5 in their last game.

Starr's Mill (1-3) produced a 10-5 win over Westlake in their last game. The Panthers will host Eagle's Landing today at 4:30 p.m. Eagle's Landing is 6-2 overall and defeated Union Grove, 13-3 in their last game.

Sandy Creek (4-4) lost to Milton 10-4 on Saturday. The Patriots are 4-4 overall and will host Creekside today at 5:30 p.m. The Indians are 5-4 and defeated Union Grove, 5-4 in their last game.
