Fayetteville council meets Thursday

Some scheduling conflicts have led the Fayetteville City Council to conduct this week's workshop meeting Thursday instead of Wednesday, its usual day.

The regular meeting is set for Thursday, April 5. Both are at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Agenda items include:

A street renaming, changing LeMans Drive to Executive Office Drive.

Approval of acceptance of streets for Fayette Promenade shopping center.

Approval of a bid for purchase of a backhoe, paver and tractor for the Public Works Department.

Approval of a bid for audit services.

Second reading of a proposed ordinance concerning midyear budget amendment.

First readings of proposed amendments to the purchasing ordinance and the water and sewer ordinance.

First readings of proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance concerning open space, customary home occupations, temporary buildings, and ordinance procedures.
