Will and Deni McIntyre are a husband and wife free-lance photography team.

They have traveled to more than 50 countries taking pictures for corporations, advertising agencies and national magazines. In their long and illustrious career, the couple estimates they have taken over a hundred thousand pictures.

In their new book, "All Over The Map: Travel Photographs and The Stories behind Them," the best pictures with the best stories are showcased.

The couple will sign copies of their book at Barnes & Noble next week. Wednesday, March 21, the couple will be at the Buckhead store and Thursday, March 22, they will be at the Barnes & Noble in Fayetteville. The signings will begin at 7 p.m.

Their first international assignment was a magazine story on the wine baron Phillipe de Rothschild. They interviewed and photographed him during the grape harvest at his estate in Bordeaux. "He gave us great access," said Deni. "We shot in the vineyards and the winery, and we ate lunch with his staff. We even photographed the baron in his bedroom."

That shot is in the book, along with 70 more images and the stories some surprising, some hilarious, all entertaining behind their creation.

An uplifting image of a cathedral in Montreal has a back story about Peruvian pickpockets. Bottled water is central to the tale of a Taj Mahal photo. An aerial shot of a Giza pyramid wouldn't have been made without a roll of duct tape. And behind the picture of a sensuous Brazilian dancer is the story of a bad parade float driver.

"I think anyone who has traveled will laugh at some of our misadventures," said Will. "And anyone who has taken travel pictures or would like to will find plenty of tips and techniques for coping with all kinds of situations."

In addition to the stories behind the pictures, text pages contain notes with icons for cameras and lenses, film types, lighting, filtration and special effects.
