Bus rider agrees
with Kerry
After reading the many responses bashing Kerry FitzPatrick's article, I'd have to say I am disgusted. Honestly, I have to say the adults who reacted by sending in all these mean letters, are acting like 4-year-olds. I for one believe that people have a right to their opinion. Although maybe Kerry was wrong, maybe she was not, she still has her own opinion. People do not need to send in these childish letters saying how Kerry and her "clueless classmates," as Mr. Bill Webster said March 7, should plan better. I also go to Starr's Mill. I am a sophomore and ride the bus. Every day that it rains we are late, or very close to being late. I am not spoiled, I have to stand out in the rain and wait for the bus. I do not get rides to school unless I have to go in early or stay after. If that happens, I ride with my sister, who takes a zero period class, which starts at 7:30. I fully agree with Kerry. I do not see why parents would drive their kids to school just because of rain. There are two things your kid could do to not get wet: one is to use an umbrella, and the second is to wear a waterproof jacket. Kerry would not have written the letter in the first place if the parents did not drive their kids to school only when it rains. I have one last thing to say, Mr. Webster. I thought it was downright ugly that you would call people you do not even know clueless and self-centered. I could say the very same thing about you, but I will not do that because I do not know you. It is extremely unfair to call people names, or make fun of them, especially when you do not know them.
