Put leash on all
dogs on PTC cart paths
The leash law in Peachtree City is ineffective because that part of the leash law that allows animals to be under voice control is ineffective. It is time to require all animals brought into public areas be restrained on a leash. I have been attacked in Peachtree City by a dog that was "under voice control." My wife has been attacked and bitten by unleashed dogs. She will not walk the paths because she is afraid of unleashed animals. I witnessed a woman who was walking her leashed dog come under attack by another dog under voice control. I walk the paths on a daily basis and witness dog owners who have absolutely no voice control of their animals. The current law places the citizen in jeopardy of being attacked and bitten by these leash-free animals. This should not be. If one is bitten then one must resort to the courts for justice. Many people are afraid of unleashed dogs on the trail. I now carry a stick with me just in case a dog tries to bite me. However, this places me in a confrontational situation with the owner should the dog attack me, which is another reason to leash all animals. Larry Robinson Peachtree City
