Former FCHS runners perform well at college Karey Howard and Clarinda Phillips of Fayetteville received awards at the LaGrange College fall semester athletic banquet. Howard recieved the All-Academic, All Conference, Conference Co-MVP and All-Region awards for women's cross country. She also received Most Valuable Runner for women. She is the daughter of Marilyn Howard. Phillips received the Coach's Award for women's cross-country. She is the daughter of David and Michelle Phillips. A four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church, LaGrange College is ranked in the top tier and as one of the top 10 Best Valuse among Southern liberal arts schools by U.S. News and World Report. The college is the oldest private institution of higher learning in Georgia and has an enrollment of about 1,000 students. |
