Auto racing has been on a lot of people's lips this year and the talk will only increase as racers in the Busch and Winston Cup series will head into Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend for the Aaron's 312 (Busch) and Cracker Barrel Old Country Store 500 (Winston Cup).

The action starts Friday, March 9, for Georgia Power Qualifying Day. The gates open at 8 a.m. From 8:30-10:40 a.m., the Busch drivers will practice and from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., the Winston Cup drivers will practice. Busch Series qualifying begins at 1 p.m. and Winston Cup Series qualifying will begin at 3 p.m. There will also be Legends, Bandolero and Roadster races from 6:30-8:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $15.

Saturday, March 10, Winston drivers will have their final practice from 11 a.m. to noon. At 12:30 p.m., the introductions for the Aaron's 312 race begin and the race kicks off at 1 p.m. The following day starts with a parade lap at 11 a.m., followed by introductions at 12:30 and the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store 500 starts at 1 p.m. Moby from Kicks 101.5 will sing the national anthem.

This year's Cracker Barrel Old Country Store 500 should be an exciting race. There are a new crop of racers among the top of the standings, including Sterling Marlin, the current points leader, and Michael Waltrip and Steve Park, both of whom are in the top ten. Eyes will also be on Jeff Gordon, last week's winner and a three-time winner at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Gordon was on the pole at AMS in November.

Other activities this weekend will be a free men's health screening offered by Pfizer and Mark Martin, who races in the Pfizer sponsored number six Viagra Ford. The Men's Health Tune Up For Life mobile unit will be between gates 14 and 15 outside the track. It will offer free cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure and erectile dysfunction screenings. The mobile unit will be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 9 and 10, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 11.
