Nativity plans 3 Ash Wednesday services

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity will mark the beginning of Lent with three services on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 28. The first service will be at 10:30 a.m. at Azalea Estates, an assisted living and retirement home, 105 Autumn Glen Circle at Ga. Hwy. 54 East.

The second and third services will be at the church on Antioch Road at 5:30 and 7 p.m. The 5:30 service will be a 30 to 40 minute school night service for families with young children and youth. The 7 p.m. service will be a traditional service with sermon and choir. The imposition of ashes will take place at all three services. All are welcome.

Nativity will offer a Wednesday evening series during Lent entitled "Conversations about God," facilitated by Rev. Bob Hudak. The series begins Wednesday, March 7. A service of Holy Eucharist, beginning at 6 p.m., will be followed by a soup and bread supper, followed by the presentation/discussion. The evening will end at 8:30 p.m. with Compline, the night prayer of the church. All are welcome.

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity is part of the 93 parishes in the Diocese of Atlanta (www.episcopal-atl.org) and a member of the world-wide Anglican Communion.
