You might be a hypocrite if . . .

When I read the letters written in your paper, I lose my faith in human nature. If your letter writers are representative of our county as a whole, we are the biggest collection of selfish hypocrites on earth. Consider these examples:

1. If you oppose new house construction in order to keep new people from moving in (just like you did three years ago), you might be a hypocrite!

2. If you oppose Wal-Mart and Home Depot coming to town, but drive to Newnan or Fayetteville to go to those two stores, you might be a hypocrite!

3. If you oppose cell phone towers, but complain when your phone does not work, you might be a hypocrite!

4. If you are a senior in high school and complain about the way other people driving their kids to school unjustly impedes your ability to drive yourself to school with out sitting in traffic, you might be a hypocrite!

5. If you live in Peachtree City but work in Atlanta and complain about how all the other people are causing traffic congestion, you might be a hypocrite!

6. If you work for an airline and complain about the noise and pollution caused by any local industries, you definitely, positively might be a hypocrite!

When did we as a people become such a big collection of whiners? But most importantly, when did we all forget the golden rule? Think about people.
