Business leaders hear from minister
The February Breakfast Before Hours sponsored by Georgia Power Company was conducted at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center and featured speaker was Dr. Jorge Valdes, the executive director of Coming Clean Ministries Inc. Valdes spoke of his coming to America, his rise in the drug underworld, his subsequent fall, and his rise again in discovering a new life with Christ. Coming Clean Ministries educates youths and their parents about the dangers facing youth today such as drugs, alcohol, suicidal tendencies and crime in hopes of prevention and to build a stronger future for the country. More than 130 members attended the first Breakfast Before Hours of the year. The next Breakfast Before hours will be May 4, again at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center, sponsored by Southern Regional Medical Center. Phone the Chamber for additional information. |
