Wednesday, February 14, 2001 Keep up with Joneses at Irish Village Vicki Jones, owner and president of Preferred Mortgage Group, announced that her company is offering loan packages in Irish Village, a new single-family residential community off Senoia Road in Tyrone. She is the wife of Fred Jones of Jones Builders, Inc., the company that is building homes in Irish Village. She said that construction, permanent one-time closing loans, and no-closing-cost loans are available through Preferred Mortgage Group, which has offices in Peachtree City and Sharpsburg. The company can be reached at 770-487-4855. The Joneses live in Sharpsburg, and Vicki Jones has been in the mortgage business since 1976, owning her own company since 1995. Irish Village will have 20 brick homes located on one-acre-plus homesites with prices ranging from the high $100,000s to the upper $200,000s. The main street into the community is Irish Lane, which runs off Senoia Road in Tyrone. Named to reflect Tyrone's Irish heritage, Irish Village is a short walk from both Tyrone Elementary School and Crestwood Christian Academy, and the community is connected to the town's cart path system. It is served by county water, natural gas and underground utilities. The home builder, Fred Jones, has been in the business since 1982 and has built in such prestigious locations as Peachtree City, Whitewater Creek, Eagle's Landing and Griffin Country Club.
