Chorus, solos, orchestra featured in 'Gloria'

A free choral and instrumental performance of Vivaldi's "Gloria" is scheduled in the sanctuary of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City on Saturday evening, Feb. 17, at 8 p.m.

The chorus is made up of choir members from various churches in the south metro area. Soloists will be Beth Sawyer, choral director at Mill Springs Academy in Alpharetta and former professional opera singer; Martha Clatterbuck of St. Andrew's in-the-Pines Episcopal Church, Laura Ellsworth, a member of the Atlanta Regional Commission and former member of the Central New Jersey Regional Chorus; and Bonnie Maguire, who has done Broadway musicals and light opera, and who has been involved with public singing since she was two years old.

Accompaniment will be by the Fayette Chamber Orchestra and organ.

A reception in Loreto Hall at the church will follow. A nursery will be available during the performance.
