McDonough Road Baptist announces new deacons

New deacons recently installed at McDonough Rd. Baptist Church include Owings Austin, Al Bushnoe, Lawrence Dailey, Tom Hill, Reuben Kinsey, Jim Kuhne, Lawrence Walker and John Woody. New officers are Lawrence Jacobs, chairman; John Horsley, vice-chairman; and Owings Austin, secretary.

Inman UMC offers 'Kidlink' preschool program

Inman United Methodist Church invites children in the community to be a part of "Kidlink," its preschool program offered in a Christian setting. Children will have an opportunity to learn about God and Christ as they discover, interact, and use their imagination in a fun learning atmosphere. Mother's Morning Out to begin at Providence UMC

The Mother's Morning Out program at Providence United Methodist Church is now accepting applications for the 2001-2002 school year. The program is open to children ages 6 weeks to 2 years of age. Fayetteville Christian plans Hee Haw dinner

Members of Fayetteville Christian Church will have a Hee Haw dinner and show on Sunday, Feb. 11, beginning at 6 p.m. in the gym. Reservations are required by Sunday, Feb. 4. Discover spiritual gifts at Fayetteville 1st Baptist's class

'Date Your Mate' night set at FUMC

The Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is sponsoring a "Date Your Mate" night on Friday, Feb. 9, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Parents can leave their children in childcare at the church and spend a night on the town. The cost per child will be determined by the number participating. Parents also need to pack a sack supper and drink for each child. Reservations are requested. Inman Boy Scouts plan spaghetti supper

Boy Scouts at Inman United Methodist Church will serve a spaghetti supper at the church on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $4 for adults and children. Proceeds will benefit the Boy Scouts. For reservations, call the church at 770-461-2123.

Locust Grove UMC announces teen driving web site

The Locust Grove United Methodist Church has announced a Teen Driver's Training Page on its web site at www.locustgroveumc.com/TeenDriving.htm. The page provides access to training materials, online practice tests and tips for both teens and parents. It also includes links to AARP's 55 Alive driving program for seniors, as well as links to the Georgia Department of Public Safety to download the driver's license manual. FUMC ladies plan first UMW meeting of 2001

The ladies at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have their first United Methodist Women's meeting (UMW) of the new year on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. Breakfast meeting on tap for Cornerstone men

Bethany UMW plans breakfast at IHOP

The UMW at Bethany United Methodist Church will have a breakfast meeting at IHOP on Saturday, Feb. 10. FFBC schedules annual Pinewood Derby
