PTC Toastmasters to hold open house By
MICHAEL BOYLAN Do you have a fear of public speaking? Are you rendered speechless when asked to talk at a meeting? If so, the Toastmasters can help you. The Peachtree City Toastmasters will hold an open house Thursday, Jan. 25, at McIntosh High School at 7:30 p.m. Their goal is to inform people in the community about their club and to attract new members. By attending the club club meetings, members build their confidence through prepared speeches as well as impromtu talks. "Whether giving an inaugural address or kicking off the company picnic, Toastmasters International provides you with the skills you need," said Club President Bill May. "You'll never have to worry about being put on the spot at the next board meeting." "In Toastmasters, you are taught the foundation of public speaking and leadership," said Advanced Toastmaster Harry Vander Krabben. "As you progress through the club you continuously build on that foundation to reach your desired level of speaking." For more information on the club or the open house, call Bill May at 770-719-2997.
