Shooting fundraiser in March The Georgia Wildlife Federation is hosting its Fourth Annual Shoot for Conservation Sunday, March 3, at The Meadows National Gun Club in Forsyth. This year GWF is fortunate to have U.S. Rep. Saxby Chambliss of Georgia's 8th District as its honorary chairman. Rep. Chambliss is known for his work as vice chairman of the House Budget Committee, as co-chairman of the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus, and as an active member of both the Agriculture and Armed Services Committees. Proceeds from the registered shoot will directly benefit GWF's environmental education programs designed to educate young people on the importance of environmental stewardship. The entry fee for this environmental fundraiser is $85 per shooter or $75 if you register by Feb. 23, included are 100 sporting clay targets, foam earplugs and lunch will be served at noon forall participants. This will be a 3-class lewis system competition with 1-3 places per class with NSCA and Hunter divisions. They will have 3-Stand, $5 per person, and 5-Stand, $8 per person available all afternoon.
