Wrestlers head to big meets this weekend

There will be plenty of wrestling action this weekend to satisfy any mat hound.

Starr's Mill travels to Jonesboro High School today to take on the Cardinals and Riverdale. Wrestling begins at 5 p.m. McIntosh travels to North Clayton today for matches beginning at 5 p.m.

Locally, the Fayette/Henry Duals will be held Saturday at Fayette County High School. The junior varisty events begin at 9 a.m. and the varsity events follow at 1 p.m. The local schools that will be wrestling will be McIntosh, Northgate, Fayette County and Starr's Mill.

Sandy Creek will take their wrestlers on the road this weekend, as they head to the Chattahoochee Invitationals today and Saturday. East Coweta will be wrestling at Westlake High School at 9 a.m. Saturday.

To get to Westlake High School, travel on I-85 North to I-285 west. Take 285 west to the Campbellton Road exit. Travel on Campbellton Road through the traffic light where it intersects with Camp Creek Parkway, and take a left on Union Road. The high school is one block up on the left.
