The Fayette Middle School wrestling team completed an undefeated season on Saturday by winning the county championships. The team went 4-0 in the meet and Rising Starr Middle School placed second by going 3-1.

Fayette Middle geared up for the county championships with a 100-0 win over Stockbridge last Thursday. The team won all 17 matches in the meet and made school history.

"I'm sure this has happened to some schools before, winning all of the matches in a meet, just not that often." said Coach Chris Cope.

The Fayette Middle wrestling team had five county champions: Adam Pisarcik, 120 pounds; Patrick Kellerman, 137; Jeremy McCue, 157; Matt Dyer, 185 and Drake McCoy, Heavyweight.

The team also produced six second place finishers: Adam Waldrop, 85; Kip Rossi, 95; Zack Stanley, 105; Kevin Demond, 115; John Pisarcik, 127; and Randy Hubbard, 167.

Michael Camarata and Nick Bennett placed third at the county championships in the 100 pound and 147 pound weight divisions, respectively.
