Which is compassionate party?

And Democratic leaders say they are the compassionate party. I don't think so.

I am disappointed in the Democratic leaders who recently led a fight to remove Linda Chavez, an Hispanic-American woman from the Secretary of Labor office. What was her crime for removal? Nearly 10 years ago, Ms. Chavez showed true compassion to an immigrant. By providing shelter, driving her to English lessons, and giving her $100 a month for "toothpaste" money, she has been forced from consideration as a cabinet member in the Bush Administration. That is it.

From the Democratic leaders who say they are for the poor people, the working people, I don't think so. It sounds like a party of talkers and not doers. This situation really shows the American people how much the Democratic Party is not interested in promoting Hispanic-American women to high levels of government, or allowing individuals and not government in providing private care to the needy. The Democrats want to spend your money and keep the power. They definitely missed on Linda Chavez. May she find an even better way to be a leader and reach us all.
