Southern gospel music lovers can hear the Perrys in Senoia next week

The Southern gospel singing group "The Perrys" will appear at the Open Door Baptist Church in Senoia on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. and will feature their third number one hit song, "Praise God, It's Settled, I'm Saved."

"Wherever this group has sung that song, people have identified with those lyrics and rejoiced in their salvation," a spokesperson said. "This song is so encouraging and has a positive message for every believer."

The Perrys have built a relationship with their fans of which, they say, they are justifiably proud.

"We feel like we are very fortunate to have the greatest and most precious fans in the world," said Libbi Perry Stuffle, group manager and alto.

Known for their dynamic vocals and sincere personalities, the Perrys this year are facing some changes and challenges. Their new lineup features Traci and Libbi Perry Stuffle, Dennis Horton, Loren Harris, Jamie Bramlett and Curt Davis. Some have said this may change the sound of the Perrys. A spokesperson answered, "Yes it has, but it will be a sound you will like. Some who have already heard them are comparing the new sound to that of the old Happy Goodman's sound. This is what every member of the Perrys grew up on and it is what we feel we need to do. It is change and change is good. We will be doing a lot of older songs and hymns from years ago. We hope and pray you will like the new sound of The Perrys."

This will be the first gospel concert of the new year for Open Door which sponsors several major Southern gospel singing events throughout the year.

Doors open at 6 p.m. A love offering will be accepted.

Open Door Baptist is located at 7364 Ga. Hwy. 16 just west of Senoia. For more information, call 770-599-3193.
