PTC First Baptist to offer classes for fitness, better relationships

The First Baptist Church of Peachtree City will offer two fitness programs starting this month, with emphasis on spiritual and physical health in both. In addition, a class will be offered for those going through difficult relationships.

A fitness class, "First Place," offers a Christ-centered approach to health and will meet on Sunday afternoons at 4:30 p.m.

"This program has successfully impacted many lives in the area of balancing physical, emotional and spiritual needs," a spokesperson said. "The class focuses on nutrition, exercise and Bible study to help participants live a more healthy life."

The second fitness class, "Fit 4," is a 12-week course designed to give participants a well-rounded approach to health, and will meet on Tuesday mornings from 9:15-11:30 a.m. The course follows a curriculum which compiles the latest research and health tips. Materials include a nutrition workbook, accountability journal, Wise Choice Cookbook, and menu planner.

To help those living in difficult relationships, "Bold Love," a video-driven study written by Dan Allender, will be offered on Sunday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 21.

"This class offers a new approach for dealing with difficult circumstances," a spokesperson explains. "This is perfect for someone in a difficult marriage or those trying to reach out to teenage children. It teaches how to boldly love someone so that they can see themselves the way God sees them. This encourages them to become the person God intends them to be in the relationship."

Childcare is free for all classes with advance reservations. For more information, starting dates, and reservations, call Carol at 770-487-8133, ext. 235.
