Sports fans will be able to see whatever sport they like this weekend, as the winter season of high school sports is in full swing for one last week before the Christmas break.

If basketball is your cup of tea, there are many great games to choose from. McIntosh will play at Riverdale on Friday at 7 p.m. and will host LaGrange on Saturday at 6 p.m. Sandy Creek will travel to Heritage High School on Friday for games beginning at 7 p.m. and will travel to Fayette County High School on Saturday for games beginning at 6 p.m.

If you would like to travel to Riverdale, travel on Ga. 85 and take a right on to Rountree Rd, followed by a left on to Roberts Dr. The high school is just up ahead. If you would like to travel to Heritage, the easiest way to get there is to travel to Conyers on Ga. 138. Stay on 138 until after it crosses over Ebenezer Rd, near Sonny's BBQ. The high school is on the right on Granade Rd.

If you like wrestling, there are two bg tournaments in the area this weekend. Starr's Mill will host the Starr's Mill Invitational on Friday and Saturday. There will be 17 teams at the tournament, including East Coweta and Newnan. Wrestling begins at 6 p.m on Friday. Landmark Christian School will also host a tournament, beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. Northgate will host Lovett and Sandy Creek on Friday at

The Starr's Mill swim team will also be in action this weekend, as they host Salem High School at Kedron Aquatic Center on Saturday at 10 a.m.

This will be a good weekend to watch sports, so go out and support the local teams.
