If you're traveling to the games this weekend By MICHAEL
BOYLAN
If you are an East Coweta football fan, you have it easy this Friday because the Indians are playing at home. If you are a fan of the Northgate Vikings or the Starr's Mill Panthers, you will have to travel a ways this Friday. Northgate is playing the Americus Panthers in Americus on Friday night. To get to Americus, you should travel on I-75 South to the Vienna exit. From there, head on Ga. 27 South towards Americus. The trip could take approximately two and a half hours. If you are serious about going, you should call the school and see if there is a booster bus to board or if there will be a cravan of fans traveling behind the team. Starr's Mill's destination is a little closer. The Panthers will take on the Brookwood Broncos on Friday night at Brookwood High School in Snellville. The easiest way to get there is to travel on I-85 North to the Pleasant Hill Road exit. Exit to the south and travel four miles to Ronald Reagan Parkway. Head south towards Snellville and Exit at the Webb Ginn House Rd. exit. Bear to the right at the end of the ramp and drive to a four way stop. The school is on the left at 1255 Dogwood Rd. Remember to drive safely and dress warmly. |
