Religion Briefs Bethany women's groups plan Christmas party Dec. 2 The women's day and night circles at Bethany United Methodist Church will have a joint Christmas party and covered dish luncheon on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. Secret Pal gifts will be exchanged and names drawn for next year's Secret Pal activity. Those who did not participate in Secret Pals this year are asked to bring a grab bag gift to exchange. All women of the church are invited to attend.
FUMC youth will host pancake breakfast Dec. 2 The youth ministries at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have a pancake breakfast this Saturday, Dec. 2, from 8-11:30 a.m. in the Family Life Center. The cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children. All proceeds benefit the United Methodist Children's Home in Decatur.
McDonough Rd. will have "carol" service Dec. 3 Members of McDonough Road Baptist Church will have a service of Christmas carols this Sunday evening, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. All the favorite carols will be featured. The community is invited to attend.
FUMC children's Christmas program set for Dec. 3 The Fayetteville First United Methodist Church's Children's Music Ministries will present "A Shepherd's Story," this Sunday evening at 7 p.m. The performance will feature special entertainment by the Sonshine Singers of Fayetteville First UMC.
McDonough Rd. Baptist children's program is Dec. 6 The children's choirs at McDonough Road Baptist Church will present their Christmas musical, "Doctor Newheart,' on Wednesday. Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. The choir features children ages four years through sixth grade.
First Baptist ladies plan Christmas luncheon All women at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church will have a Christmas program and luncheon on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m. at the church. The theme will be "Unprecedented Opportunities." The meal will be catered and donations will be accepted.
Fayetteville Christian to present Christmas musical Dave McClellan's "In the Fullness of Time," a Christmas musical/drama, will be presented by the Fayetteville Christian Church's adult choir, band and drama departments on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 10 at 10:30 a.m. The communityis invited to attend.
