Georgia Shakespeare Festival to hold benefit show
"The Trial on the Murder of Julius Caesar", a mock trial to benefit Georgia Shakespeare Festival will be presented Jan. 19, 2001. Judge Robert J. Castellani, who sits on the Superior Court of Dekalb County, presides over "The Trial on the Murder of Julius Caesar". Don Samuel of Garland, Samuel and Loeb serves as defending advocate and Dekalb County District Attorney J. Tom Morgan serves as prosecuting advocate. Shakespeare's Cassius and Brutus (portrayed by Georgia Shakespeare Festival associate artists) are scheduled to take the stand. The trial will last from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. there will be a cocktail reception, followed by opening statements at 7:30 p.m. At 9 p.m. the jury deliberations will begin and coffee and dessert will be served. The verdict is scheduled to come in at 9:25 p.m. The trial will be held at the Conant Performing Arts Center, 4484 Peachtree Rd.
