Rich voices to fill Spivey Hall

Sweet voices and classical music will fill Spivey Hall this weekend.

Anonymous 4 and Chilingrian String Quartet will perform Saturday night and Accentus will perform Sunday afternoon.

Anonymous 4 and Chilingrian String Quartet are two ensembles acclaimed for their adventurous style. Anonymous 4 is known for its musical combination of poetry and narrative. Chilingrian Quartet is the quartet in residence at Royal College of Music. The group formed in 1971 and has been entertaining audiences around the world ever since.

The two groups will combine their efforts to present John Tavener's "The Bridegroom." The show will begin at 8:15 p.m. and will cost $35.

Accentus is a 30-voice chamber choir from France. It formed in 1991 and was named "Musical Personality of the Year" in 1999. Accentus interprets a rich repertoire of a cappella songs in a chamber choir format.

The group will present masterpieces from the last two centuries in its performance. The show will begin at 3 p.m. and will cost $30.
