McFolks Thanksgiving luncheon is Nov. 16

The Senior Adult Committee at McDonough Road Baptist Church will host a Thanksgiving luncheon for the McFolks group on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. at the church. The program will be a travelogue presented by Collette Tours. For more information, call the church at 770-460-5423.

Fayetteville Christian plans fall family retreat Nov. 17

Members of Fayetteville Christian Church are invited to join in the church's Fall Family Retreat at Woodland Christian Camp in Temple (near Carrollton) on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17 and 18. The cost is $10 per individual or $25 per family and includes three meals, lodging and games. Registration is now being accepted and payment is due upon registration. Cornerstone ladies plan trip to Warm Springs

The ladies of Cornerstone Bible Church in North Fayette County will take a day trip to Warm Springs on Saturday, Nov. 18. The group will leave at 2 p.m. and have dinner at the Bulloch House. For more information, call the church at 770-964-6789.

Bethany changes Wednesday schedule

Wednesday night activities will reflect a schedule change at Bethany United Methodist Church beginning Wednesday, Nov. 22. No activities will be held that night due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Also, beginning Wednesday, Nov. 29, dinner will be served at 6 p.m. instead of 7:30 p.m. as previously scheduled.

Churchwide luncheon scheduled at Nat'l Heights

Members of National Heights Baptist Church will have a churchwide luncheon on Sunday, Nov. 19, featuring roast beef, baked chicken, hot dogs, assorted vegetables, salads and desserts. Christ Our Hope Lutheran plans Thanksgiving service

Members of Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will have a Thanksgiving Eve service on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring gifts of nonperishable foods to place on the altar. The gifts will be given to the Atlanta Food Bank to help stock the food pantry.

River's Edge Church open every night until Christmas

The worship center at River's Edge Community Church is open every night of the week from 7-8:30 p.m. for prayer, anointing with oil, deliverance ministry and reading of the scriptures. On those nights when the worship center is in use, another room will be designated. Deacons, on a rotating schedule, will be on hand to lead. Providence offers Thursday men's basketball

Bethany women's groups plan Christmas party Dec. 2

The women's day and night circles at Bethany United Methodist Church will have a joint Christmas party and covered dish luncheon on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. Secret Pal gifts will be exchanged and names drawn for next year's Secret Pal activity. Those who did not participate in Secret Pals this year are asked to bring a grab bag gift to exchange. All women of the church are invited to attend.

Providence youth will sell Christmas trees

The youth groups at Providence United Methodist Church will take orders for Fraser Fir Christmas trees by phone or by mail through Nov. 26. Prices are: 6-7 ft., $45; 8 ft., $55; 9 ft., $60; 10 ft., $80. Trees will be available for pickup or delivery on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 2. Providence UMC offers high school Bible study class

Alpha Omega, a Bible study class for students in senior high school, meets every Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. in the Rockspray Log House in Peachtree City.
