We don't want more stores, more congestion, pollution

Councilman Dan Tennant, please find the legal means to stop Wal-Mart from coming to Peachtree City.

It is unethical and unfair that they are pushing themselves on our city. If they are so confident that they are wanted, they should have the confidence to discuss it further. What's another few hours? Let us help you better understand.

We don't want more commerce. We love the quietness. We don't want more retail as the era of e-commerce is just beginning. We want less congestion and pollution so we can have clean air to breathe. We don't want minimum wage jobs by the dozen left to be filled by "outsiders," who will inevitably help the crime rate [to] soar.

How can any councilman in their good conscience let this happen? Why won't Mayor Lenox speak?
