Fayette County Republicans plan election rally

An election rally will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Gazebo in the parking lot of the county complex at the corner of Ga. highways 85 and 54.

The Fayette County Republican Party and the Greater Fayette Republican Women are sponsoring the event.

The party also will have its regular monthly meeting at this time. The meeting will have a different format in November, consisting of a few short announcements and the opportunity for any Republican candidate to speak for one minute.

After this party officials will encourage voters to go vote the following Tuesday. "Bring your favorite candidate(s)' yard sign to hold as we blanket the corner of 54 and 85 to draw attention to our candidates and to voting," said Eric Dial, party chairman. Literature will be available and will be distributed.

The public is invited. The event is sponsored so a fee will not be charged. Coffee, juice and donuts will be served.

For information phone Dial at 770-486-6171 or Grace Caldwell, Greater Fayette Republican Women chairman, at 678-364-0193.
