Getting to the game

There are some key sporting events taking place outside the county this weekend two football games and the state cross-country championship.

McIntosh at Stockbridge

Take Ga. Highway 54 north to Jonesboro. Turn left on Tara Blvd. and right on Ga. Highway 138.

Go into Stockbridge and turn right at the light directly in front of Wal-mart. Take Hwy. 42/138 a little over a mile, cross the bridge over the railroad tracks and turn left at the light onto East Atlanta Road.

Turn right at the first light, which is Old Conyers Road, and Stockbridge High School is on the left.

East Coweta at Jonesboro

(Twelve Oaks Stadium)

Take Hwy. 54 through Fayetteville and turn right on McDonough Road. Go about five miles and the stadium is on the right, next to Lovejoy High School.

Fayette County, Landmark Christian and McIntosh at the state cross-country meet at Carrollton High School

Take Hwy. 74 north to Fairburn, then Hwy. 92 west to Hwy. 166 West. Turn left at the Carrollton bypass and go about two miles. The football stadium is on the right, and just behind it is the high school.
