Religion Briefs Nat'l Heights Prime Timers to view fall colors Prime Timers at National Heights Baptist Church will take a trip to the north Georgia mountains tomorrow, Oct. 26, to view the changing fall colors. Tomorrow is reportedly the peak day for the fall season. The group will leave the church at 8 a.m., eat lunch, and return by dinnertime. The cost is $2 for gas plus money for lunch. His House schedules yard sale, barbecue this weekend His House Community Church will have a flea market, barbecue and hayride this Saturday, Oct. 28, at the church on the corner of McBride Rd. and Jazz Drive. Soccer league registration continues at Providence Providence United Methodist Church will begin its first youth Athletic Outreach Program with an indoor soccer league for youth ages 6-9. Halloween pumpkins for sale at FUMC The UMYF youth group at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is selling pumpkins at "The Pumpkin Patch" on the grounds of the church on Lanier Avenue (Ga. Hwy. 54) from 10 a.m. until dark each day. Pumpkins start at $1 and the sale will continue through Oct. 31. Proceeds will go toward sponsoring youth on various spiritual retreats during the coming year.
Yard sale planned to benefit poor of Coweta County St. Vincent DePaul, a nonprofit organization, will have a yard sale on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., at St. George Catholic Church, 771 Roscoe Rd. in Newnan. All proceeds will benefit the poor of Coweta County.

Fayetteville UMW schedules arts & crafts show The United Methodist Women at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have its annual Arts and Crafts Show on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Paint pumpkins at Providence this Sunday Members of Providence United Methodist Church are invited to a family "pumpkin painting" event on Sunday, Oct. 29, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the YMCA Family Park pavilion area. Each family will receive a small pumpkin to decorate or carve. The church will provide paint for painting, Those wishing to carve their pumpkins are asked to bring their own supplies. Faith and suffering examined in Morehouse play Two performances of the play, "M.J. The Modern Job," will be presented in the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel on the campus of Morehouse College Saturday, Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. The play examines the question of faith and suffering. Fayetteville Christian plans fall family retreat Nov. 17 Members of Fayetteville Christian Church are invited to join in the church's Fall Family Retreat at Woodland Christian Camp in Temple (near Carrollton) on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17 and 18.
