Hamilton to host Indian Pow-Wow By
MICHAEL BOYLAN The town of Hamilton, Ga. will honor the Ossahatchee tribe this weekend with the annual Indian Festival and Pow-Wow. The festivities will include a drum competition, competition dancing, a tipi competition and primitive skills demonstrations. There will also be authentic indian arts and crafts, such as leather, jewelry, pottery and basket making, as well as indian fry bread, indian tacos, roasted corn and buffalo burgers. The festival is open to the publioc from 6-10 p.m. on Friday night, from 10 a.m.-10 p.m on Saturday and from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 6-12 years old. Children ages five and under are admitted for free. Admission is $1 off on Friday night. For more information, call 706-663-2313. |
