Company's Web site lauded by Golf Digest Newnan-based The Design Shop, which produces antique golf-related items, was cited in the June, 2000 issue of Golf Digest magazine as one of golf's best Internet web sites. The site was designed by Peachtree City-based ExecuSoft Controls, Inc. (ESC), which continues to host the site, or place it on the World Wide Web for public access. The Design Shop was founded in 1980 by John Norman White, who oversees the hand crafting each of the firm's "Classic Craftsmen" products. The company prides itself on an in-depth knowledge of golf traditions, and its museum quality products exude this sense of tradition. Display products made by the company include "The Evolution of the Golf Ball", a collection of golf balls depicting the major changes in ball construction over the centuries; sculptures; art prints; and other items related to golf history. White, a former Delta Air Lines executive, is pleased to be associated with Golf Digest. He said, "Just as gratifying is the fact that many notable companies have entrusted us to produce their gift items and continue to remain our clients. This confirms our belief that we are making an important contribution in our commemoration of golf history." His customers include Titleist, the United States Golf Association (USGA), Arnold Palmer Golf Academy, The Golf Channel, tournaments, collectors and others. Another ESC web site, The Perfume Outlet (www.perfumeoutlet.com), was recently cited by independent trade publications for its e-commerce efforts. ExecuSoft Controls is directed by company President Costas Soulakos, and Tammy Cooper Soulakos, Vice-president and Peachtree City native. ESC is Fayette County's one-stop computer shop, offering computer sales and services, web hosting, web site design and training classes.
