Baci offers 'A Night of Visits' and a fine meal

Baci Italian Cuisine in Fayetteville will offer "A Night of Visits" over the next three Monday evenings.

The show will feature two one-act plays, "For Whom The Southern Belle Tolls" by Christopher Durang and "Norma and Robert Get a Visit" by Stuart Fail.

Durang's play is a parody of Tennessee Williams' " The Glass Menagerie." Amanda, a fading Southern belle, prepares her hypersensitive, hypochondriac son, Lawrence, for a "feminine caller." Lawrence retreats periodically into his collection of glass cocktail stirrers. The play should pair up well with Fail's production.

Fail is the drama director of Starr's Mill High School. He brought the "Farmer-Butz Wedding" to Baci last year and now brings back two characters from the play, Norma and Robert Butz.

The Butzes are white trash, plain and simple, and when they get a visit, it should be a raunchy and rollicking good time.

The dinner starts at 7 p.m. and the show starts shortly after. Tickets are $30 and include dinner and the show, though beer and wine are extra. There will be performances Oct. 2, 9 and 16 and a special late night performance at 10 p.m. Oct. 13. Tickets for the late night show are $10. For reservations, phone 770-460-7778.

Also coming to Baci will be the wine dinner Thursday, Sept. 28. Call Baci for reservations and information.
